Tarot cards

Posted on 19 April 2010 by Judit

The first card I got from a dear friend was The Magician and soon after I got another card, the Nine of Pentacles. I used the Rider-Waite Tarot deck cards as a reference. Funny though that I missed the wand from the Magician and I painted 10 pentacles instead of nine. I chose to correct the pictures in both cases because I want to be somewhat accurate. ;-)

The Magician is the first trump or Major Arcana, In divination it is considered by some to succeed the The Fool card.

In the Tarot, the Minor Arcana are divided into four suits : swords, staves/wands, cups and coins.  The coins “pentacles“,are discs marked with a pentagram. In this context they represent the element earth or divinity manifesting in matter.

As a part of the meditation I painted myself into the cards as you can see.
